Jenny and I have a connection that is insanely close, even across the miles, but it's not the same to get a phone call or to make one when you feel something going on. The one thing I've hated about the military lifestyle is being away from both of them. I'm SO looking forward to the week in Kentucky and spending some much needed time with my sisters. I'm pretty sure this is where I'd like to call home.Īnyway, I'll be MIA most of this week since I'll be driving to Kentucky to spend the week and weekend with my family, and then Easter Sunday in Nashville with Mike's family. I really do like this area and hope we retire here when Mike retires. Once this part of the process is over I can relax and enjoy the last 2 months we're here. I'm not a fan of living in hotels while waiting on the bank. Since we're buying again to add to our rental property collection it seemed best to send him ahead so we can get the painfully slow mortgage process started before we even get there. Mike is in Virginia looking at houses for the move in June. But most of all I sorted through the clutter and found homes for things that have never had a home. Today I cleaned out other closets, flipped mattresses, cleaned carpets, scrubbed floors on my hands and knees making sure all hidden dirt was washed up, and any other ridiculous act of cleanliness you can think of.

I always keep things CLEAN, but not always free of clutter. Yep, I cleaned my house like an alien had taken over my body. Momentarily throw off the pre-judged voices that are so deep in the West, and consider how good it might feel, to try the veil.Well, today I had a spring cleaning virus. It is the future for all countries, and perhaps one day, all women. Veiling speaks to something deep inside many females: femininity, service, modesty, a surprising feeling of freedom. As it spreads, it offers a different outlook to relativism. The Niqab's beauty, modesty and mystery has some unmistakable appeal to women, which is why many women are more willing to accept it than western minds might expect. The long term goal? That the Niqab become universal. Eventually this will simply be how women will be expected to dress: every woman, with no exceptions. Either way, even now, first the hijab, and then increasingly the much more appropriate Niqab - are there in every town, slowly but surely more accepted, and becoming increasingly common. In a global timescale, we believe that all these places are likely to fall to Islam and be taken over by its rule. We believe that Islam will soon predominate in Europe, Western Asia, and soon will be a gradually increasing presence in North America, before its natural take over. Women who cover now, will find themselves in an advantageous position when a new, more obligatory or compulsory stage begins, as it gradually will, in every country. Though it holds no desire to promote the faith of Islam, this blog is glad for the developments that this process is bringing. And it works! Even those who profess no faith in Islam find not being so visible, allows them to relax in a new way in public. Also working towards this end is the desire of many women for and a new understanding of femininity, and to allow for the beneficial idea of dependence, which has been so disparaged in recent decades. This is due to a variety of factors: the incredibly rapid recent global spread of Islam and its social customs, but also the desire in women to reject the superficial mores of Western society and reach for a deeper spirit. In country after country, women are beginning to more and more often accept being covered.Īnd they accept or welcome being covered, not as something unusual, but as something expected, and even desired by them: in short, as a natural state. Female veiling and covering is on the rise across the world, at a pace never seen before.
